BURLINGTON CULTURAL MAPPING

Much of my inspiration comes from the diversity of landscape, it's seemingly unnoticed details and the unexpected. Through glaze oil painting, the lost art of the old masters, I explore luminous colour and contrast. The infinite possibilities from a minimal colour palette of eight never ceases to amaze and delight me. Whether derived from open air or first captured with my lens, through my paintings I seek to slow our pace and contemplate the beauty that surrounds us. Through this forgotten art, I find forgotten beauty above, bellow or on a busy street. Miniature details, contrast, luminous light and colour await my attention.
